The Ring Door View Cam Brings Apartment Dwellers into the Ring Family

Long have apartment dwellers suffered the indignity of having to get up and look outside to see who is at their door.  Thanks to the engineers at Ring, that is no longer an issue!

This week, Ring released the Ring Door View Cam, which looks a lot like a Ring Pro with the addition of a peep hole fish eye lens on the top.  Ring claims that you can use the included tools to replace your existing peep hole in five minutes with no wiring required.  That means every now and again (Ring says 6-12 months), you will have to remove the battery pack and charge it.  Upgrading to the Ring Door View Cam will also give you a doorbell, which most peep holes don’t have.  On the other side of the door (see below) is a box containing the battery, the other side of your peep hole with a privacy cover, and the wifi antenna.  It sports a 1080p camera, night vision, and all of the other great features you’ve come to expect from Ring’s products.  Ring also notes that if for any reason your Door View Cam is stolen, they’ll replace it for free.

Currently, the Ring Door View Cam will cost you $199 and it is shipping immediately.
